In Remembrance
We'd like to express our condolences to family and friends of Senator Ted Kennedy, who, among his innumerable accomplishments in life, appears to have cultured a taste for Gerry and Dewey's work.

He will be missed.

New Release From Maplewood
From Tapete Records: "Maplewood returns with Yeti Boombox, their second full-length release. Recorded mostly in the discontented winter of 2008, the 12-song set picks up where Maplewood left off. Again, it features amazing guest performances, this time from Gerry Beckley (America) and Alan Weatherhead (Sparklehorse). The atmosphere may be a little snowier, and the mood a little spacier, but the Maplewoodian hallmarks are all there: lush harmonies, shimmering guitars, evocative storytelling, and gorgeous soundscapes.

Fountains of Wayne on stage with America!

Anchored by songwriters Adam Schlesinger (bass) and Chris Collingwood (vocals, guitar), with Brian Young (drums) and Jody Porter (guitar), Fountains of Wayne have been hailed for tight pop songwriting reminiscent of influences as diverse as the Zombies, Simon and Garfunkel, the Cars and Randy Newman. Their debut release was #2 on Billboard Magazine’s 1996 Critics’ Poll, and yielded the hit single “Radiation Vibe.” Their second album, Utopia Parkway, was a People Magazine Album of the Week, and their third release, Welcome Interstate Managers, included the massive hit single “Stacy’s Mom.” Blender Magazine named their next release, Traffic and Weather, “One of the reasons to love 2007.” They recorded the theme for the Comedy Central show Crank Yankers, and Adam Schlesigner received an Academy Award nomination for the title song for the film That Thing You Do!, and has produced albums for the Verve Pipe They Might Be Giants, and America.
